crept up from the river valley and hung briefly over the vineyard like an old friend who unexpectedly shows up on one's doorstep . What a lovely surprise, this Kentucky morning.
Briar Rose Garden is a family owned and operated farm near the banks of the Barren River in Warren County, Kentucky. Established in 2012, we established blackberry bushes, and field planted sunflowers, zinnias, daisies, gladiolus, and more cut flower varieties. The farm is open in season as a You-Pick. Fresh garden bouquets are available in our Flower Shed which operates on the Honor System.

Wednesday Fog
This morning I woke to the fog that
crept up from the river valley and hung briefly over the vineyard like an old friend who unexpectedly shows up on one's doorstep . What a lovely surprise, this Kentucky morning.

Spring Report
I have to apologize for not posting in a while. It has been a very busy spring. We've been feverishly planting, tilling, weeding, and weeding some more.
This has been a building year for us with nearly a thousand lavender plants in the ground, blackberry and raspberry bushes planted, and the vineyard going into its second season.
There is not much down time!

Looking outside at the snow and the near zero temperatures on the thermometer, it's difficult to believe that spring is only weeks away. We can only sip our hot tea or coffee, thumb through the gardening catalogues, water the seedlings we planted weeks ago, and believe that yes, spring will come in all her glory, and none too soon!
